Everything in San Francisco comes with a hill. Often times, they put parks on the peaks. Which is great. Except for the long, loooong, walk up.
We had some great views. Great views that don't photograph well because of fog. You'll just have to use a little imagination.
Just a few flowers in Alta Plaza Park. Later we'll to the botanical gardens and you'll get several days of flowers. Teamwork led to this park trip. As I was studying the bus map, Kat was studying the travel book. She asked if we were near this park. Turns out it was only two (uphill) blocks out of our way. Golden.
With patches of grass that are barely lawns, parks must be such a wonderful place for kids to play. They force families to interact with their community, meet neighbors they normally would never know. I find it all very 'romantic'. Growing up we spent about the same amount of time in parks as the backyard. I couldn't imagine growing up on a big lot driving distance from a park. Ick.
Steep hill. Wouldn't want to be rolled down it in a barrel. From here we attempt to find the Legion of Honor. Enjoy, jon
