Gehry

I wish you saw that PBS documentary on Gehry.  It is awesome.  He even has more than one.  The one I'm talking about was a P.O.V. program.  Some famous director followed Gehry around with a handheld recorder.  Cool angles, great insights.  Look it up, you won't be disappointed.  Enjoy, jon

Build, build, build.  I wonder if the financing on this project ended up burying it?  Did it make money? I think buildings are cool and all, I just don't know if they are good for the economy in general.  Shouldn't we be worrying about technology or education?  So many questions, so little time.  Enjoy, jon

The corner of where and where?

No one can ever find our place on the first try, ever.  On one side we have a street that changes names three times in two blocks, and on the other mass confusion.  That main drag Water St (pictured) takes a sudden unannounced jog right at our building.  Leaving everyone traveling an extra two or three blocks down first before they notice.  In the end, I have learned the names of all the streets in the 'hood to help direct.  And that ain't all bad.  Enjoy, jon

Where is it going?

Is it migrating south for winter?  Is it getting away from a predator?  I wonder how it flies?  I wonder if the debris flaps its little debris wings, or if it has some magical levitating power like Superman?  I bet they want you to stay out so you don't get debris poop on yourself.  Man, I bet debris poop is particularly disgusting.  Enjoy, jon

I like bridges.  Almost as much as trains.  I think it is common among photographers to have such feeling.  This addiction to lines and vanishing points that tracks provide, and the exposed structures of bridges. My theory anyway.  Enjoy, jon

Under Construction

Finished now, and pretty spectacular. Cuertosy of Amtrak's new intermodal station. That means busses and trains, cool. Hopefully it will be a harbinger of things to come. When they tear down the neighbor building that is. Enjoy, jon
