Details, details

Life Line

A boat such as this is full of detail. It is such a delight to find surprises and accouterments around every turn. It is not as if a life line is so unusual, but one 80 miles out into the ocean during sunset is.

Leads

Don't worry, there will be many more to come.

Begin The Yachting Pictures

Mitchel Intl.

One moment. Before I show y'all the yachting pictures. You should check out General Mitchell International Airport. I have taken similiar, all be it different focal length, shots of the architecture in the past and have always gotten the same reaction, "that's our airport". It is a wonderful example of how having a camera can help you to reframe and recontextualize the space you are in. To open your eyes to the beauty that surrounds us.

Soon to be home.

Ok, now some shots of the boat. One which my brother and myself rever to as "varnish that sails".

More Winch

And, a winch. I took loads of these. 'Cause winches are cool, duh.

They'll Kick Me Out Soon

One of my favorite places to shoot is Artasia in the Third Ward. It is so much fun. All the sculptures and chaos are wonderful.

And nipples. Lots of nipples.

I cannot wait to start my mission to have the greatest number of minions.

Next Time, Better Background

Not that the wood pile or ladder are terrible, but I could have done better. Nice boots!

The Best Beer

Door County Cherry Wheat

I find Hinterland to have the best beer in the city. Granted, it is brewed in Green Bay but, I'm going to call it local. I mean, we cheer for their football team after all.

And, good service!

Contraband Pictures

Apparently you may not take pictures in the Pabst Mansion. Well, they didn't tell me that until the end of the tour, when a little old lady gave me the wagging finger. When I politely holstered my iPhone she gave me quite the dirty look. Take this old lady!

The god of wine. So delightful.

The outside shots aren't contraband, but I think they are thematically relevant.

Relaxing By the Flamingo

Lawn Chairs

Just relaxing on Broadway watching the day go by. Actually, I think these are for sale at Hoarder's World. Which could possibly be the most accurately named business ever.

World's Best Garlic Bread

Papa Joe's

Perhap it is also the galaxy's best. I mean, who's going to come down here and dispute my claim?

See This Sign A Lot

Cherry and Water

I work right across the river. Whomever decided the medians should have flowering trees is both a genious and a maniac. They are beautiful, and I would be saddened by the lost. However, they make it impossible to see oncoming traffic. Run Pedestrian, Run!

Some Special Attention

For this awesome tandem bicycle. What a classic, what a joy. I'd want one, if they weren't so terribly dorky and impractical. However, it does seem to solve some people not drafting close enough.

A Trip to MYC

I can never get enough of how we used to name apartment buildings. The Royalton, it sounds like the fake name you'd give prior to a dine and ditch.

The HDR function on my phone doesn't always make things crazy.

Red Door.

This fake HDR is a little more intense, but quite enjoyable. I think. Anyway. Cause.

Oriental

About a month and a half ago, I had a plan to switch camera brands and use my iPhone in the interim. After much soul searching, I've realized I'm much to lazy to execute such a project. So, I shal carry on with Olympus gear. I know I didn't pick the fastest pony, but hopefully they'll limp forward and keep bringing innovative products to market.  Next up, micro 4/3rds.

Let Them Eat Cake

Well, that’s what I hope you’ve been doing during my sabbatical. To my amazement, I actually ran out of pictures. Then to my disappointment, I ran out of steam. Well, here we go again. Let’s see how many weeks I can eek out this time before another hiatus.
