More Las Vegas! You really wouldn't believe how many pictures I took. This one gets me because of the creeping branches into the shot. It is almost overly cluttered, but I think it survives. Enjoy.

Little Flower
I didn't like this at first, then it slowly grew on me. Now, I think it is very nice. Very nice indeed.

Sculpture
Honestly, this thing is weird. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. I walk by it all the time and it never gets any less weird. I took this recently with the intent of making it black and white. I opened up Photoshop, made it black and white and didn't notice the change at first. That's how bland in color this thing is. Normally it is just rusted brown. Boring rusted brown. With snow it got much more exciting. Enjoy.

MAM
Or the Milwaukee Art Museum. This is my favorite glass artist, and the only glass artist I know. So, lets just say this is my favorite artist. I think. My friend pointed out this picture had sexual undertones. Now I cannot get that out of my head. Funny enough, this is probably my least liked of his works and the only one in Milwaukee. Enjoy!
P.S. Forgot one yesterday, so two today.
Much Like...
Much like the Diamaru picture shows man's imposition on the world, it is good to look up at natural structures in the same way. This gorge wall is much more imposing in real life, hopefully you see it the same way as I do. Enjoy.

Venetian
One, I hope this doesn't get cut off on the site. That would be a pain to fix. Moving on. I have multiple pictures of this hotel. Something about its style is unavoidable for pictures. I'll probably post some more, but this one is top notch.

Daimaru
I had to triple check if I put this one up yet. I must admit I was surprised I didn't. An absolute favorite, just shows off how with a different perspective a building can go from something you pass to an imposing monument to mankind. At least that is what I think. Enjoy!

Tug Boats & Coal
This wonderful coal pile is put on barges and goes up the river every day. Watching tugs push what makes our power every day helps me understand how much we burn. It is one small high demand use only coal plant just outside of downtown Milwaukee. In fact I have driven by it so my times in my life without giving it a passing thought. Now I can see it's smokestack from the apartment window, and cannot help but ponder the constant churning and burning that must happen across the world at a unfathomable rate. Enjoy.

Purple Sphinx Flower
The flower isn't a "Sphinx Flower" of course. In fact I rarely know what kind of flower I am taking pictures of. This also isn't the Sphinx. All and all the only thing true about my title is the purple part. But, that also may be debated. Perhaps it is more pinkish than purplish. Or some other hue/color name I am unaware of. Enjoy, Jon.

Campsites Are Great.
I didn't even have to get up from dinner to take this. How awesome is that. Just one of those times that without a plan, and taking advantage of opportunity Katherine and I found this gorgeous campsite. Taken in the Arapahoe National forest, Colorado.

Parsen Bowl
This is my buddy Tom riding the lift in front of me. It is times like these I am glad I refuse to go anywhere without a camera. It's tough now because I got a new fancy SLR, which is large, and un-pocket-able. So I have to have no fear about being "that guy" with a camera. Well, I guess I am that guy. Big camera and all. Enjoy!

Hindu Goddess?
I think? I'm not sure if this is the Hindu Goddess Shiva. The arms lead me to believe this is true, but without a good understanding of the Hindu religion I feel odd making such a pronouncement. I like how this shot looks exotic and that I traveled far and wide for the perfect shot. The truth is that I took this in a store five minutes from where I live. Enjoy, Jon

Good Portraits
Capturing that good portrait moment is nearly impossible, for me, so when I have a good one, I just got to share. Taken in Japan in the spring, the running water had rotted the snowpack from below making this fun snow hole. Then the perfect smile/scream expression to boot. Enjoy!

Belagio Fountain
Now, I know you have all seen some spectacular shots from this location. I will throw my hat in the ring. This isn't the best I have ever seen, but it is pretty good for not having a tripod. Anyway, that Paris balloon is huge and in a few of my other Las Vegas picks because it is so hard to ignore. Enjoy!

Rowr! Lions!
I greatly enjoy lion statues. It is one history I am unaware of, why these are everywhere? Generally I'll take a shot when I see them, depending on lighting of course. Most aren't very good, but this building ends up being a favorite.

Good day for Fish
Or a fish sculpture. This building is probably really old. You probably cannot tell, but I seem to remember it had a plaque or something.

Lighthouse
Generally lighthouses are pretty cool. I thought this particular one looked much better before its fresh coat of paint. It used to be all rusty and emo, much better for black and white. Now its all pretty and nice. Booo.

Quebec City
This poster just seemed the ultimate in Frenchiness. Well, mini-Frenchiness because Quebec is only mini-France.

Doesn't seem real
I cannot tell you why, but this image doesn't quite seem real to me. I didn't do any editing or filtering to make it happen. I also don't know if it gives anyone else the same feeling, but it kinda creeps me out.
