I actually don't know what the name of the pier was called, but that's what it felt like. Rides, acts, cotton candy, the whole gambit. Our entertainer here wouldn't get very far into his act before he would start asking for money, fail, quit, then start again.
This guy was so awesome. He was singing like mad, strumming away, toe tapping, rocking back and forth, to and fro, just plain ol' plain ol' gettin' down. Except, he wasn't actually playing, he was lip synching. His fingers never touched the strings. It was a riot.
And there's are host. Probably currently hating this picture. Paul's an awesome guy, with an awesome disco phone. I don't know if you can quite make it out, but the pricing structure on this sign is ridiculous. 2 balls - $2 dollars, 4 balls - $3, 5 balls - $5. Seriously? What if I wanted twenty, would I pay $15 or $20? Man, carnival pier is crazy.

Not quite, more like beach brunch. Which could have been an insanely expensive brunch, had we not had the best waitress ever. Even though the food was late, and not spectacular by any means, half off can make most people smile.
Overlooking the ocean.
This little restaurant also charged ~$15 to park, mostly because it was the only spot in miles that wasn't obstructed by monsterous bluff.
That's right, Malibu. We should have been surfing.
Rapid, rapid, river!

I'm going to try my best, once again, to cruise through the past to get to the present. And here we were, waiting the over four hours for the train to arrive. This was phase two of the trip, the San Fran to L.A. part. We were planning on riding along the coast at sunset, but the train had other another idea. Being painfully, mind numbingly late. So, we entertained ourselves in the local market/mall playing the lottery. We won!
Finally we found ourselves on the twelve hour train ride. Keeping .ourselves busy relaxing, watching the scenery, and writing post cards.
Only two months later I'm back. Well, where have I been? Busy, busy, busy, making excuses about not blogging. In any event, what says south better than the General Lee??
Enjoy, jon
