This big! I really like the bean. Correctly, Cloud Gate, the thing was $5 million over budget, costing $11.5 million. Guess I won't be able to get one for myself. Enjoy, jon

Gehry
I wish you saw that PBS documentary on Gehry. It is awesome. He even has more than one. The one I'm talking about was a P.O.V. program. Some famous director followed Gehry around with a handheld recorder. Cool angles, great insights. Look it up, you won't be disappointed. Enjoy, jon

Construct! Construct!
Build, build, build. I wonder if the financing on this project ended up burying it? Did it make money? I think buildings are cool and all, I just don't know if they are good for the economy in general. Shouldn't we be worrying about technology or education? So many questions, so little time. Enjoy, jon
Thar she is
Pretty pretty, isn't she. Probably will hate this picture, but she's gotta deal with it. Enjoy, jon

The corner of where and where?
No one can ever find our place on the first try, ever. On one side we have a street that changes names three times in two blocks, and on the other mass confusion. That main drag Water St (pictured) takes a sudden unannounced jog right at our building. Leaving everyone traveling an extra two or three blocks down first before they notice. In the end, I have learned the names of all the streets in the 'hood to help direct. And that ain't all bad. Enjoy, jon
Where is it going?
Is it migrating south for winter? Is it getting away from a predator? I wonder how it flies? I wonder if the debris flaps its little debris wings, or if it has some magical levitating power like Superman? I bet they want you to stay out so you don't get debris poop on yourself. Man, I bet debris poop is particularly disgusting. Enjoy, jon

Ahoy Mateys
Ya-har! Drop the anchor! What do you mean its rusted down? You can't be serious, we're on shore? Blast! I'll never be able to take those doubloons now. Well, back to the office boys, guess it wasn't to be so today. Enjoy, jon

Buds
A while from now they will return. As they have return time and time again. The wonderful rebirth from winter. Unless these were cut down last summer. Which is possible, considering this is a weed tree at the end of a street. At least others will return. Ah, the circle of life. Enjoy, jon

Good ol' reading
That looks like the life. Sitting, relaxing, reading a book. Looks so fantastic. Does that make me lazy? Or, sweetly wistful. You decide. Enjoy, jon

Better with a Canon
This was the first trip with new super fancy camera. It was new, I barely understood it. Did a better job with Kat's point and shoot. So, in my mind I totally messed this picture up. If only, if only. Enjoy, jon

Exams are over
Now time to contemplate the normal parts of life. Like how do umbrellas work? Thanks to guest photographer Katherine! Enjoy, jon

The Palace
More of a pagoda. Do they call these pagodas? I would spend time looking up the exact name of this style, but I am trying to study. Really. This is just a distraction. Though a favored distraction. Enjoy, jon

The Forum
The Forum Shops. Copting of history is sometimes humorous. I always thought of the forum as a a place to discuss the issues of the day in then quasi-democratic Greece. But, maybe a place to spend money you don't have is better? Enjoy, jon

Trump Obsession
Something about a multi story golden phallic symbol visible from half the strip makes one obsess. Never mind he's way behind on payments, it is pretty awesome. Enjoy, jon

All Blue in the Face
Somehow rather serene despite this obvious fact. I wish I could be brightly colored and calm at the same time. Enjoy, jon

From the free rose series. Man, I miss free rose Friday. Still buy flowers from those guys though. I'm such a sucker. Enjoy, jon

Ice Penguin
First day with the baby camera. Oh, what a night! Would I shoot this different now, sure. But that doesn't matter, cause it was super play time on day one. Enjoy, jon

Waves are Powerful
Bend steel, moves beaches, will eventually wear down the mightiest of mountains. Beware of waves. Beware. Enjoy, jon

Trying Bigger
I'll give it a shot. Hopefully it works out. Oh, by the way, the Mitchell Building downtown Milwaukee. Enjoy, jon

Bridge
I like bridges. Almost as much as trains. I think it is common among photographers to have such feeling. This addiction to lines and vanishing points that tracks provide, and the exposed structures of bridges. My theory anyway. Enjoy, jon

Under Construction
Finished now, and pretty spectacular. Cuertosy of Amtrak's new intermodal station. That means busses and trains, cool. Hopefully it will be a harbinger of things to come. When they tear down the neighbor building that is. Enjoy, jon

End Colorado
Not quite all of my Colorado shots, but it is time to move on. This is our wonderful neighborhood, with the new ugly building on right. I don't mind it, but Kat's pretty down on it. Enjoy, jon
